CUBA
My first time in Cuba was 9 years ago. While life there at the time was not easy I was really saddened to see how much worse things have become. Electricity is sporadic, garbage piling in the streets, lines in front of bakeries, and empty shelves in the pharmacies. What is amazing to observe is how resilient and creative the Cuban people are. For example, anything and everything can be repaired and during electricity down time charging stations appear on the sidewalks. The country is somehow broken but the spirit is not.
