In the big cities I visited one can hardly find a trace of the “old China”. The skylines are spectacular, international luxury brands can be found everywhere and with the right apps services function smoothly. What is still traditional are the morning activities in the parks of the older generation. The young generation likes to dress up reminiscent of Japanese Cosplay culture. Or else they dress up in fancy traditional Chinese attire. Either way it is thoroughly documented, either by professional photographers or by the boyfriend in toe.
