Senegal provided a unique experience. Unlike the people in Asia the Senegalese did not always appreciate being photographed. Taking street photos required me to adapt a new strategy. Long conversations trying to persuade people that my intentions were pure were needed before raising the camera to my eye, sometime successful often no so much. Nevertheless I had many good encounters and the colors and beauty of the people is still coming through nicely.
